打印The British Council China are organising a series of workshops in the UK from this Saturday across five cities including Edinburgh, Manchester, Cambridge, Oxford and London to give Chinese students an insight into the current job market and equip them to be prepared for employment after graduation.

The prize draw at our Careers Fairs held on 8 and 9 Octobers this year was won by Vasiliki Tassou, and her prize was a bus pass worth £300 kindly donated by First Cymru. Vasiliki is currently doing a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and she is also one of our Student Employability Representatives. Here she is receiving her bus pass from Pauline McDonald (on the right), Head of Careers and Employability, and Jennie James (on the left) from our Careers Adviser Team who is responsible for liaising with the College of Arts and Humanities.

The British Council China will run a series of workshops in the UK from 26 October to 3 November 2013.  This year they are working in partnership with Zhaopin.com to invite well known businesses to take part in this event.  Chinese students will be able to explore their interests and skills to further help them explore the career development process.  Participants will also have the chance to interact with business representatives who will be able to offer career development advice and information on their own job opportunities.

One of the sessions will be in Bristol – not far to travel from Swansea.

The German Embassy Career Fair provides a unique opportunity for students and graduates
